Ist er tot? – a Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles review

Ist er tot?
Who would have thought it – it’s a Terminator series! Well it’s over now so it is due time to make a final verdict over the show. The series picks up after T2 where John Conner and his mommy (notice that I did not write Sarah Conner, but mommy) fight the bad ass Terminator T888 series. The first season with only 9 episodes was rather entertaining. John was pretty much a stand up guy, a companion terminator (Summer Glau) was metal and weird and mommy was well … not all that mumsy. The highlight in the first season for me was the time travel, lots of bloody special effects (the main bad ass T888 gets a new skinjob … and eyes! Yearh baby!). The second season was more of a “bleh” to me. It’s extremely slow paced seen in context of the shows nature – you run Luke!!. Sarah Conner suffers breakdowns - and John wines about being a teenager *sigh*. I recommend that you stop your viewing after the T888 bites the dust, which naturally takes place within a church – ahem. They should have carried the horror aspects, the fear, the running and the badassiness of the first season in to the second and then maybe they could have kept the show. Brian Green plays a mean resistance fighter in the series, and together with Summer Glau they bring a measure of quality to it. As they say in Germany: “Ist er tot? …. Terminert!”
